When the toys-to-life news for the week gives you lemons, you take those lemons and make a podcast about lemonade. Or meatballs and airport security. Something like that, right?
Jason and Josh are back for episode 43, in between vacations for Mr. Grier, to talk about the latest and greatest from the four toys-to-life franchises - amiibo, Skylanders, Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions - per the usual. After tales of giant meatballs, driving in circles and trying to sneak deadly Skylander vehicles past TSA agents at the airport, the dynamic duo break down a weird double-exclusive SuperChargers pack, the upcoming released for LEGO Dimensions, weird word choices by Disney Infinity’s social media team, and what to expect from upcoming amiibo releases.
The #CommunityQuestion tackles the necessity of being interested in a franchise to collect, and one lucky participant wins an entry into the monthly giveaway tied to the brand new and extremely popular trivia segment now called “Inquire THIS.” This week, a listener writes in with a great trivia question for the expert on the show … but how did Jason do answering it? You’ll have to listen to find out!
Also, some more great emails from the community, as always. Thank you all for the love and support! Happy hunting, collectors!

Despite a slow news week, Josh and Jason do their best to put on yet another great and entertaining episode of the World’s #1 Toys-To-Life podcast. They start off shooting the breeze, talking about a crate full of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, the scalpers at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, and some humble bragging about scoring some extremely limited Pepsi Perfect.
Once they get down to the nitty gritty, they chat about Australia possibly being the gateway to Skylands, the missed opportunities with the Light FX Star Wars figures, childhood memories of Pokemon, and the lessons to be learned in LegoLand.
The #CommunityQuestion is cleverly ties in to Back To The Future day, and a new trivia-based segment is introduced, called “Stump The Expert”, where fans and listeners can win some cool prizes while challenging Jason’s knowledge of the toys-to-life franchises. Be sure to listen in and find out how YOU can participate!

Well, since the first recording of Episode 41 didn’t work out so well (the file got lost into the ether), Josh and Jason decided to give it a go for a second time. Despite not having the interview from the previous night with the wonderful voice actress Kat Cressida, the dynamic duo did their best to recreate the magic of Episode 41 for the world’s number one toys-to-life podcast.
After a great discussion of factory-direct Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and New York Comic Con, the two hosts dive into LEGO Dimensions and the possibility of Marvel joining the game, a Toys For Games racing league for Skylanders SuperChargers, upcoming store exclusives for amiibo releases and all the chaos and craziness of what’s going on with Disney Infinity.
The #CommunityQuestion is broken down between the hosts, and some great emails are read and answered as well. Thank you all for being the Best Community Ever!

Jason reveals the big secret that Disney Infinity has up their sleeve for New York Comic Con - the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set and a new figure joining the game, an unmasked Captain America! Listen in as Josh hears the news for the first time, and the two talk about the news while trying to make sense of it all.
Josh and Jason are back for episode 40, and are joined by Mike Mahoney from the Gamers in Beta podcast! Capn Mike, a punk rock legend, sits down in a judgement free zone to talk about his hidden love for toys-to-life franchises. They talk about Skylanders SuperChargers, Disney Infinity 3.0, LEGO Dimensions, and of course, amiibo.

Josh and Jason are back with another volume of the Collector’s Edition podcast - where they talk about everything collectible that has nothing to do with the normal toys-to-life franchises they normally cover. For volume 9, they invite a couple of special guests on - The Unboxers! The collecting duo making a splash on YouTube for (of course) unboxing stuff join the podcast to talk about subscription boxes, review the September Loot Crate, talk about the NYCC exclusive Funko Pops, and break down the madness that is always Tsum Tsum Tuesday including what to expect from Disney coming up.
Oh, and they may or may not make an effort to officially turn the podcast into the world’s number one Shopkins podcast. Sweet summer child! IT’S SHOPKINS ‘TILL YOU DROPKINS!

Episode 39 of the Toys For Games ‘Cast welcomes back Greg Miller (@GameOverGreggy) from Kinda Funny, to talk about the launch and impressions so far of LEGO Dimensions. Greg discusses what he picked up on launch day, why he didn’t buy everything - despite wanting to - and what he is excited to buy in the future. They talk about how the game plays, what’s most impressive and exciting about LEGO Dimensions, and the troubles that the entire industry has with not only marketing toys-to-life games, but reviewing them as well. Oh, and the moment when Greg opens up BrickInquirer.com and sees that Teen Titans Go is a rumored upcoming franchise … well, it’s not just kinda funny. It’s priceless.
After Greg signs off, Josh and Jason get right into the franchises, talking about misinformation spread about a Disney Infinity 3.0 figure release date, the exciting variants in Skylanders and the slightly disappointing paint jobs of the figures, and all of the amiibo restocks and Animal Crossing news.
The #CommunityQuestion was also discussed, regarding the Animal Crossing amiibo cards, and several great emails from the community were read and responded to.
