Episode 53 is a Friday night special, with special guest Matt Sonnenberg joining Jason and Josh for yet another episode of the Toys For Games ‘Cast! They start off talking about the First Annual Toys For Games Awards, followed up by a chat about Matt’s new, upcoming project, Collection Crossing.
When the trio of collectors finally get down to the news, they discuss the release of the Shovel Knight amiibo, the continuing great sales for LEGO Dimensions, JV trolling Disney Infinity fans, and the upcoming Skylanders Day. Jim Dough, a baker from New Zealand, also gives everyone a complete breakdown of the new Skylanders Battlecast card game.

The #CommunityQuestion asks about buyer’s remorse, and the Inquire This! trivia question challenges both experts on the lore of Skylanders characters. And as always, a few emails to round off the show, including a great video from a loyal fan that has to be seen to be believed! (Don’t worry, Jason and Matt do their best to describe the action!)

Josh and Jason are back up to their normal antics, tossing aside the regular show format and talking about collecting non toys-to-life instead for one night. They start off the show on a weird tangent, but quickly get going by talking about December’s Loot Crate and Marvel Collector Corps (CORE) subscription boxes. Then, they break down some upcoming Funko Pop! figure releases, and express their continued disappointment in Tom’s Hobby Shop.
Finally, when the inevitable Tsum Tsum segment takes place, a VERY special guest joins the show to not only talk about Tsum Tsum Tuesday, but more importantly, brag about how great her “blind bag feel game” is. Eventually we get to some listener questions to wrap up the episode. And oh, what an episode it was!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VAL! I LOVE YOU, AND THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BEST PARTNER I COULD EVER ASK FOR.
Episode 52 almost didn’t happen this, as we strongly considered taking a week off due to a lack of news and the holidays and such. However, the universe apparently had other things in mind when an entire show worth of breaking news was dropped on our lap in the last 24 hours, thus leading to this emergency, middle of the day podcast. What better way to finish off 2015, right?
Discussed in Episode 52 are some killer LEGO Dimensions sales, amiibo pre-orders going live, serious speculation regarding upcoming Disney Infinity figures and Play Sets, and of course, the motherload of Skylanders breaking news!
Thank you, to all of you wonderful fans and supporters of Toys For Games throughout the year. We love each and every one of you. Cheers, to 2016!

Eventually, the duo get down to business, talking about sales for LEGO Dimensions, amiibo manufacturing information, Skylanders variant craziness and Disney Infinity conference calls.
The #CommunityQuestion asks about presents under the Christmas tree, and the Inquire This! trivia question challenges the expert on Frito-Lay promotions for Skylanders. And as always, a few emails to round off the show, including an AMA-A-AMA email!

Josh and Jason are back for their monthly Collector's Edition podcast, where they discuss all the crazy things they collect that aren't toys-to-life related! This episode they talk about Shopkins (of course), several subscription boxes, #TsumTsumTakeover, the Black Friday Funko madness, and the upcoming exclusive item (hopefully) coming to Toys For Games in 2016! Oh, and what Collector's Edition would be complete without showing love to the unofficial sponsor of the show, Walgreens!

Episode 49 almost didn’t happen because of a disastrous work week for Josh, but instead of calling it off or phoning it in, a great show came to fruition. Feeding off of Jason’s pre-show energetic buzz, the duo get hyped up for the Episode 50 AMA next week, as well as a bunch of giveaways going on they both are currently running. After talking about the pick-ups for the week, they break down an amazing LEGO Dimensions sale coming up, talk about Skylanders Day, break down some upcoming amiibo production runs and have a fireside chat regarding the Light FX Figures. Oh, and JV’s infamous handshake/snap is brought up, because well, it’s golden.
The #CommunityQuestion asks about The Force Awakens Play Set for Disney Infinity, and the Inquire This! trivia question challenges the expert on the secret world of Ninjago. There are also great emails, of course, which is just preparation for the big roast of Episode 50.
Thank you, to all of you wonderful fans and supporters of Toys For Games. We love each and every one of you.

Episode 48 reunited the two co-hosts, Jason and Josh, after the Thanksgiving/Black Friday holiday weekend. They chat about Jason’s incredible Christmas giveaway, breaking street dates, saving babies, and the upcoming Episode 50 AMA podcast! Eventually when they get to the four franchises, they discuss the quiet state of LEGO Dimensions, a lack of amiibo chaos, light-up lightsabers in Disney Infinity, and Skylanders creating the word of the decade: patina.
The #CommunityQuestion asks who got what during the Black Friday sales, and the Inquire This! trivia question challenges the expert on LEGO Dimensions knowledge. There are also a ton of great emails, many from new fans, which is incredible awesome to see!
Thank you, to all of you wonderful fans and supporters of Toys For Games. We love each and every one of you.
Episode 47 releases a day early due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, but that doesn’t mean the hosts have less to talk about. After a Friday Night Lights discussion, and before the food and documentaries part of the podcast, the duo of Jason and Josh actually get down to some toys-to-life discussion. The long-awaited “Black Friday Sales” episode is here, where they break down ALL of the sales of the toys-to-life franchises from all of the retail locations. The most comprehensive breakdown of every single sale coming up, aside from the full write-ups on Jason’s various websites.
The #CommunityQuestion tries to figures out what franchises people will be hunting for this Friday while shopping, and the Inquire This! trivia question brings our in-house expert back to the beginning of the first significant toys-to-life franchise!
Thank you, to all of you wonderful fans and supporters of Toys For Games. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving and holiday weekend, and a safe Black Friday shopping experience.
After pushing the recording of Episode 46 back a couple of days due to illness, Jason and Josh decide to record on a Friday night, where really, anything can - and probably will - happen. Never before has the show been so off the rails as this one, but somehow the ship is righted and brought back on course to talk about the important stuff you all want to know about: Toys-to-life!
Starting off with some much needed housekeeping, the co-hosts talk about a killer deal for LEGO Dimensions for anyone possibly waiting on the price to come down, they gush over some fan-made concepts of X-Men Disney Infinity characters, discuss the trickling out of Wave 3 of Skylanders, and do their very best to run down all of the amiibo news to be released and leaked in the last week or so.
The #CommunityQuestion tackles what franchises people have been surprised by in toys-to-life genre, while the Inquire This! trivia question is designed to fool the tired expert. Also, as always, plenty of great emails from the community are read, discussed and hopefully enjoyed by all!
Also … R.I.P., Mabel. We salute you, but don’t support any sympathy votes you may get now.

Jason and Josh flat out have fun this episode, talking about a quick vacation to the Magical Kingdom, an avalanche of Tsum Tsum, the most recent subscription boxes, adding a second floor to a house, Black Friday, and so much more!
This week, Jason and Josh are joined by not only the GM of IGN.com and the co-host of NVC, but ... REACTION GUY #4 HIMSELF ... Peer Schneider! They talk about how easily a picture can go viral, the current state of our collections, the plight of amiibo over this last year, how LEGO Dimensions is changing the game, why buying bigger houses is a better option than simply not collecting anymore, and why Mega Yarn Yoshi might not make into the household of the GM.
The discussion with Peer was fantastic from so many different angles and perspectives. Be sure to check out his baby, IGN.com, and listen to him every week on the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast!
In the news part of the show, Jason and Josh break down the secret release of a new Disney Infinity starter pack, discuss the new Skylanders animated series, debate whether or not LEGO Dimensions will really talk about the big secrets soon, and the breaking - and somewhat disheartening news - of a retail exclusive amiibo being released on … BLACK FRIDAY.
The #CommunityQuestion polls the fans on whether or not they are getting the Animal Crossing amiibo this Friday, and why or why not. The Inquire THIS! trivia segment is throwback to the early days of amiibo. Does Jason remember the easier days of amiibo or does he get stumped?
Also, some more great emails from the community, as always. Thank you all for the love and support! Happy hunting, collectors!

In the first episode of Joys of Games, Josh and Collin decide to kick off the new podcast by talking about their first true love of video games - Nintendo. They discuss the upcoming releases for Nintendo platforms, both for the Wii U and the 3DS. Then they share which Nintendo games they are loving recently - Super Mario Maker and Yoshi’s Wooly World. Then they take a trip down memory lane and visit the good old days with a bit of Nintendo nostalgia.
All this and more for Episode 1 of Joys of Games!
(Joys of Games is a spinoff podcast from the Toys For Games brand.)
Episode 44 kicks off in a one-of-a-kind way, featuring a fantastic interview with GandaKris, one the most well-known amiibo customizers in the game! We talk about how an interest in art and a love for Super Smash Bros. transformed into making custom amiibo that sites like IGN and Yahoo! are writing about. Also discussed is charity work, the need for personal assistants, tips for beginners. and why Pikachu is the most popular amiibo to customize.
To support and follow everything GandaKris is doing, check her out on Twitter, @Ganda__Kris (TWO underscores!), and check out her store, HERE. Also, take a look at the Masahio Sakurai custom being auctioned off by amiibo News and Nintendo Inquire for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, HERE.
Once the great interview is over, Jason and Josh get down to the nitty gritty of the toys-to-life franchises. They discuss the release of the Eon’s Elite Skylanders, broken amiibo street dates, a new VISION for Disney Infinity, and LEGO Dimensions traveling WAY back in time.
The #CommunityQuestion dives into the pros and cons of LEGO Dimensions allowing players to “rent” characters in the game, and whether or not that could or should translate into the other games in the genre. The Inquire THIS! trivia segment serves up a heffalump of a question for Jason. Does he get it correct this week, or did someone stump the expert?
Also, some more great emails from the community, as always. Thank you all for the love and support! Happy hunting, collectors!

When the toys-to-life news for the week gives you lemons, you take those lemons and make a podcast about lemonade. Or meatballs and airport security. Something like that, right?
Jason and Josh are back for episode 43, in between vacations for Mr. Grier, to talk about the latest and greatest from the four toys-to-life franchises - amiibo, Skylanders, Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions - per the usual. After tales of giant meatballs, driving in circles and trying to sneak deadly Skylander vehicles past TSA agents at the airport, the dynamic duo break down a weird double-exclusive SuperChargers pack, the upcoming released for LEGO Dimensions, weird word choices by Disney Infinity’s social media team, and what to expect from upcoming amiibo releases.
The #CommunityQuestion tackles the necessity of being interested in a franchise to collect, and one lucky participant wins an entry into the monthly giveaway tied to the brand new and extremely popular trivia segment now called “Inquire THIS.” This week, a listener writes in with a great trivia question for the expert on the show … but how did Jason do answering it? You’ll have to listen to find out!
Also, some more great emails from the community, as always. Thank you all for the love and support! Happy hunting, collectors!

Once they get down to the nitty gritty, they chat about Australia possibly being the gateway to Skylands, the missed opportunities with the Light FX Star Wars figures, childhood memories of Pokemon, and the lessons to be learned in LegoLand.
The #CommunityQuestion is cleverly ties in to Back To The Future day, and a new trivia-based segment is introduced, called “Stump The Expert”, where fans and listeners can win some cool prizes while challenging Jason’s knowledge of the toys-to-life franchises. Well, since the first recording of Episode 41 didn’t work out so well (the file got lost into the ether), Josh and Jason decided to give it a go for a second time. Despite not having the interview from the previous night with the wonderful voice actress Kat Cressida, the dynamic duo did their best to recreate the magic of Episode 41 for the world’s number one toys-to-life podcast.
After a great discussion of factory-direct Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and New York Comic Con, the two hosts dive into LEGO Dimensions and the possibility of Marvel joining the game, a Toys For Games racing league for Skylanders SuperChargers, upcoming store exclusives for amiibo releases and all the chaos and craziness of what’s going on with Disney Infinity.
The #CommunityQuestion is broken down between the hosts, and some great emails are read and answered as well. Thank you all for being the Best Community Ever!

Greg discusses what he picked up on launch day, why he didn’t buy everything - despite wanting to - and what he is excited to buy in the future. They talk about how the game plays, what’s most impressive and exciting about LEGO Dimensions, and the troubles that the entire industry has with not only marketing toys-to-life games, but reviewing them as well. Oh, and the moment when Greg opens up BrickInquirer.com and sees that Teen Titans Go is a rumored upcoming franchise … well, it’s not just kinda funny. It’s priceless.
After Greg signs off, Josh and Jason get right into the franchises, talking about misinformation spread about a Disney Infinity 3.0 figure release date, the exciting variants in Skylanders and the slightly disappointing paint jobs of the figures, and all of the amiibo restocks and Animal Crossing news.
